Special Issue on Basic Hypergeometric Series Associated with Root Systems and Applications in honor of Stephen C. Milne's 75th birthday

The Guest Editors for this special issue are

Gaurav Bhatnagar (Ashoka University, India)
Frank Garvan (University of Florida, USA)
Christian Krattenthaler (University of Vienna, Austria)
Michael Schlosser (University of Vienna, Austria)

This special issue is dedicated to the 75th birthday of Stephen Milne and his many groundbreaking contributions to the theory of basic hypergeometric series associated with root systems including their applications to number theory and combinatorics.

In particular, topics for this issue include

  • ordinary, basic and elliptic hypergeometric series and integrals associated with root systems;
  • special functions related to Lie groups or quantum groups;
  • Rogers–Ramanujan type identities (and their variants and generalizations to multiple sums);
  • applications of $q$-series and theta function identities to number theory and combinatorics;
  • other topics related to Stephen Milne's work.

There is no limit to the length of an article. Deadline for paper submission is November 30, 2024.

How to Submit an Article to the Issue.

All articles will go through the standard peer reviewing procedure of SIGMA.

If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. The reviewing process starts once the paper is submitted and we will publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.
