Abstract | MATLAB® software allows to analyze many approximation techniques that are fundamental for research and teaching in Numerical Computation, Applied Math and Engineering applications. In this paper, we illustrate MATLAB programming environment to proficiently tackle a broad spectrum of approximation topics, such as function approximation, multiresolution wavelet analysis, radial basis functions, multivariate scattered interpolation, surrogate optimization, kernelized support vector machines, and neural networks to build universal approximators and state estimators. |
